Dad Joke Blues

Last weekend the family went up to the farm. We had a stack of fun patting Dopey the steer and generally chilling, and in a moment of intense craziness we came up with a future project idea: the Huge Family Album. This will consist of songs pertaining to the cliches of family life. We have several idea brewing, but this one wrote itself in my head during the motorbike ride back from Tewantin to home. Pretty straightforward and self-explanatory, I think. Here's a draft version of how I first heard it:

UPDATE: This song has now been turned into a fundraising project for men's mental health. Although the response has been slower than I hoped, it has been positive. I have released an EP with 4 versions: Acoustic, Electric, and both with the joke removed. Want people to record their own jokes in the space and add them to the project community.
