Been thinking about who to work with on this multi-album project. Quality producers in Brisbane are few and far between. Magoo mixed my last single, "Budget Crisis" and I learned a heap from him. Great bloke to work with ... ARIA winner ... not sure he's right for this. Bit expensive for my means, too ... :-)

Stuart Stuart has also won an ARIA. Local. Great bloke - apparently we know each other from years ao but have never actually sat down to figure out the details ... also expensive and, when I asked him about it, not available.

A little while ago I ment James North while we were both judging the Global Battle of the Bands in Brisbane. That was fun, but stories for another time. Mentioned this concept to James and he seemed keen. He's very approachable and the nicest guy I've met for a loooong time. Seems very knowledgable and experienced. Rates are not too bad ... might approach him next. I like that sort of logic in creative projects ... the best reputations are not always going to produce the best results - better to find someone you get along with personally.

Of course, that's how I got the guitarist's job in Bun' Ber E - the audition was a beer and a chat. :-) Malcolm figured he could teach me the guitar stuff - and he was right - but he said he wanted someone who could get along with the guys. Apparently I was the 15th singer/guitarist they auditioned ...

Anyhoo, will talk to James about the concept. Need to find some songwriters to work with and figure out how to get some feedback on the concept and the songs ...
