Wombats Anthem

This is a silly song I made up for the NTRA Over35s team when I played for Australia the first time in 2006. I originally wrote this main bit and a few verses for some of the players, including Beardy, who's now in the Over40s. But I've finally got around to recording the melody and will add some vocals to it ASAP.

Wombats Anthem

There was a bunch of Wombats
Who weren't too good at much
And so this bunch of Wombats
Decided to play touch.

They'd run and pass and kick the ass
Of everyone they'd meet.
The trouble with these Wombats was
They each had two left feet.

So GO! you mighty Wombats.
You wear the Gold and Green.
The finest bunch of Wombats
The world has ever seen.

A bit of fun. Hope to sing it as a victory song in New Zealand next week ...
