July 5, 2004Blowing out the cobwebsWell ... had me some fun yesterday down at the local club. We had an open-slather jamm - all welcome, any style. Yesterday, I lent them my PA, played accoustic guitar, had a sing, played drums and percussion, clapped, cheered and yahoo-ed my way through the afternoon. Man, it was a blast - and my family were there along with a whole heap of other families, too. It's good to get those standards out of the system overy now and then - and to have a no-pressure gig. Contrast that with last Thursday night, when I played as a "Bush Band" (duo) to the international conference of University Chaplains at Griffith. There was just two of us for an hour playing songs I'd learned the night before and I'd never played with Focksy ever. Still, variety is the spice of life. The punters seemed to enojoy it all. I feel better now. Posted by Huge at July 5, 2004 9:42 PMComments
